Wigan Athletic legend, Roberto Martinez, looks likely to join Chester City after leaving League One side Swansea City. Martinez has left a similar stamp on South Wales as the one he left in Wigan.
The Spanish midfielder enjoyed a wonderful spell in Wigan and is held in the highest regard by everyone conected with Wigan Athletic.
Martinez watched the recent friendly between Chester and Blackpool and is now likely to join the Deva Stadium side.
Chester manager Mark Wright said: "We have made an offer to Roberto, I will now have to talk to the chairman to try to take the matter further. Roberto is a quality player, and would be a tremendous asset to this club if we could sign him."
