The Dutch international completed his £2.3million move, with the belief that Wigan will lead the chase for European Cup football, just like AZ Alkmaar did during his two years there.
Speaking to the Wigan Observer, he said: "It will be difficult to repeat what happened last year, but that is the ambition of the club."
"The manager wants us to be better than last year and that's why i'm here, because i believe we can do it."
Landzaat scored 22 goals in 79 games for Alkmaar, a trait he hopes to continue at the JJB Stadium: "I like to attack and get forward to score goals. I also like to control midfield and that's what i'll be trying to do."
