De Zeeuw ready to visit former club

Tuesday night sees the visit of Wigan Athletic to newly-promoted Championship club Barnsley. The fixture will see Arjan De Zeeuw face one of his former clubs on their home turf.

After two games during the pre-season tour of Austria the Latics are playing back in England.

Club captain Arjan De Zeeuw is looking forward to the game and can't wait to go back to his former club.

He told the club official website: "It's always nice going back to my old clubs and I hope I get a decent reception from the fans.

"I certainly hope so as there is nothing riding on the game and it is really about building up sharpness.

"I enjoyed my time there, they're a good club with a terrific fanbase and I'm glad that they have got promotion back into the Championship."
