Camara joins Sheffield United

Henri Camara has joined Championship club Sheffield United on a nine month deal until the end of the season following a successful trial over the past month.
The thirty-two year old Senegalese international forward was released by the Latics at the end of last season, but certainly has a lot to offer, particularly at Championship level.

He spent much of last season cast out by Steve Bruce, and found first team opportunities difficult to come by. A January loan move to Stoke faired little better as Camara made just four appearances for the Potteries club.

However Blades boss Kevin Blackwell is optimistic that Camara can do a job for him. He said: "He's a proven goalscorer and although he will take a bit of time to get fit, he will be able to give us cameo roles from the bench to begin with."
